Property sale marks the county’s most expensive land sale in 2018

Ben Lee Farm, an over 1,100 acre farm in Church Hill, Maryland, recently sold for $6.25 million. Listed by Sharon Whaley Tryon, a top-producing Realtor at Long & Foster’s Kent Island office, the farm’s sale marks the most expensive land sale in Queen Anne’s County this year and in the past eight years, according to local MLS records.

Beyond its closing price, the sale of Ben Lee Farm marks an important development in the county. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources worked with the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy to purchase the property. On the farm, they will develop a new Wildlife Management Area (WMA), which will protect the land and provide the community with natural recreation opportunities.
