Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community

The Severna Park office of Long & Foster Real Estate will participate in the company’s Community Service Day beginning June 5. The office, located in Severna Park, Maryland, will join the brokerage’s over 170 offices in the day of giving back by assisting Orphan Grain Train, a nonprofit volunteer network, as a collection point for needed food items and donations for families and workers affected by the Key Bridge collapse.

“The Key Bridge collapse has left many people in our community in need.  As an office, we felt this was the best way to serve our neighbors during this time of crisis.  There are families in mourning, dockworkers out of work, sailors who are stuck on ships plus so many others affected by this tragedy,” said Timothy Blanchfield, manager of the Severna Park Office.

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and daycare centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
