Long & Foster Real Estate has appointed Cathy Zamanpour as the managing broker of the Tysons, Virginia, office. Zamanpour, who most recently worked at Long & Foster’s Fairfax Centre office, brings more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry to her new position.

Zamanpour entered the real estate industry in 2004, after working for about five years in defense contracting. In the time since, she built a successful real estate business, helping area buyers and sellers. After about a decade working in real estate sales, Zamanpour began developing training programs to share with her fellow associates in building their businesses. Her leadership skills were recognized by the company, and she was named sales manager in Fairfax Centre in March 2017.

As a manager, Zamanpour focuses on education and training, helping ensure her team has the tools and resources needed to achieve success. She has also developed an effective recruiting initiative, bringing numerous experienced associates to the sales team in the Fairfax Centre office. Her future plans for the Tysons office include expanding on its training and mentoring initiatives and building programs  to enable the team to share their industry knowledge and expertise and grow their careers.
