Tom Coard of Long & Foster Real Estate recently received the 2018 Realtor of the Year award from the Harford County Association of Realtors (HCAR). Coard is the manager of Long & Foster’s Bel Air Central office in Bel Air, Maryland. The Realtor of the Year award is HCAR’s highest honor, and it recognizes a local Realtor who demonstrates business accomplishments, community involvement and “exemplifies the values and ethics of Realtors.”
Coard has worked in the real estate industry since 2001 as a Realtor, team leader and office manager. A member of the HCAR’s board of directors since 2011, he has served as director of the association’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and was elected president of HCAR in 2016. Coard also has served on and chaired multiple committees over the years at various state and local associations, including as a member of the board of directors of Mid-Atlantic Realty Services and on the executive board of Maryland Realtors.
“Long & Foster is proud that the HCAR has recognized Tom’s many accomplishments and his commitment to the industry. Tom is a true professional in the real estate industry, and his dedication to his agents and clients is a testament to his passion for the real estate industry,” said Cindy Ariosa, manager of Long & Foster’s Baltimore, Eastern Shore and Western Maryland regions.
A graduate of Towson University, Coard is a resident of Harford County, where he has lived with his wife and three children since 2004.
“It’s the commitment of agents like Tom that has enabled him to earn an honor such as this one, and we’re proud to have him as part of the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our company has a reputation of honesty, integrity and best-in-class customer service that spans 50 years, and the talent of professionals like Tom is why we remain the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic.”
