Tom Pace, a real estate professional for more than 30 years, has been named manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Historic Downtown office, located at 813 E. Jefferson Street in Charlottesville, Va. Pace replaces Joe Aust, who retired effective December 31, 2015 after a 40-plus year career as a local leader in the real estate industry.
Pace will continue to serve as manager of Long & Foster’s Glenmore sales team in addition to leading the Historic Downtown office. Both Pace and Aust joined Long & Foster in the fall of 2014 as managers with the expansion of Long & Foster into the greater Charlottesville area and the opening of four offices with over 90 local agents.
Pace began his real estate career in 1992 and became a licensed broker in 1997. Prior to that time Pace worked as vice president for a local homebuilder. He has been instrumental in the sales and development of numerous communities throughout Charlottesville, including Glenmore.
Pace has been a very active member of the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors and currently serves as Chairperson of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee. In addition, he is involved in numerous civic activities including the Charlottesville Catholic School and the Alzheimer’s Association.
