Long & Foster’s Top 10 Home Sales in 2020

February 2, 2021

Properties listed/sold in 2020 by Long & Foster agents

With the onset of Covid-19 and the surge in remote work and learning last year, it was suddenly no longer necessary for consumers to live year-round near their place of employment. Buyers began seeking homes with yards for their families, home offices and work-out spaces.

In 2020, this flight from the density of cities and surrounding metropolitan areas also produced a dramatic wave toward the purchase of beach homes. The flexibility of remote school and work prompted people to purchase homes in beach communities, as a primary residence, or as secondary residence to safely quarantine, while enjoying quality of life.

This shift is clearly demonstrated in our annual Top 10 Home Sales in 2020 list. Of the 10 top residential transactions last year at Long & Foster Real Estate, eight were located in the beach community of Avalon, New Jersey.

Here’s a look at the top 10 properties that were listed or sold by Long & Foster agents last year.
