Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Terry Steen to its Grove office in Richmond, Virginia. Steen will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.

Steen is participating in Long & Foster’s Success Path program, which offers extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating and more. Steen holds membership in the Richmond Association of Realtors.

Steen grew up in both Southern California and Washington State.  While in college, Terry decided that he wanted to see the world, so he joined the United States Air Force. In the Air Force, he had the responsibility for  processing telecommunications on an airborne command post, which led to his relocation to Virginia.

After leaving the service, Steen chose to stay in Virginia, where he became an electronics technician,  managing a digital metering company. Later, he acquired his electrical engineering degree, and became a registered professional engineer and worked in facility design.

For the last decade, Steen has enjoyed working in the building code community as a code and plan reviewer for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Steen has enjoyed facility design, project management, inspecting, and working with building codes and modifications.  As a family man who enjoys home repair and remodeling, he loves seeking out new and different types of homes and helping people find what they are looking for in a home.
