Preston was born and raised in Loudon County in Northern Virginia. She holds a bachelor of science degree in health, physical education and recreation from Virginia State University. After earning her degree and moving to Virginia Beach, she started her career as a public school teacher.

Having lived in Virginia Beach for over 30 years as a Navy wife and mother of two, Preston has developed a keen awareness of how best to serve Navy families’ needs and concerns. Her personal knowledge of the Hampton Roads area can be leveraged to help navigate service members and their families through the home buying process.
