Michele Stevens, a real estate professional with more than 15 years of experience, has been named manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Great Falls, Va., office. Stevens brings to her new position a passion for the real estate business as a whole and helping new and experienced agents to find success. She previously managed the Middleburg and Purcellville, Va., offices of Long & Foster Real Estate, the No. 1independent residential real estate company in the country.

“Starting and building both the Middleburg and new Purcellville offices for Long & Foster has been a phenomenal experience, and I’ll truly miss my team of real estate agents there,” said Stevens. “The chance to return to Great Falls—where I started my own real estate career—presents tremendous opportunities for me, and I look forward to supporting and growing the team there while also further building Long & Foster’s presence in the Great Falls community.”

Stevens became part of the Long & Foster family in 1997, joining the Great Falls office as a sales associate. She had relocated to Northern Virginia with the support of a Long & Foster agent and the company’s Corporate Real Estate Services team, and their professionalism and expertise impressed her so much that she decided to pursue a real estate career. Stevens enjoyed the flexibility of real estate, which allowed her to build a business while also having time for her children and family.

When Stevens and her family moved to Upperville in the early 2000s, she left Long & Foster, which, at the time, did not have an office in that market. In 2005, Long & Foster recruited Stevens to open its Middleburg office, where she has remained ever since. Last October, she also helped the company to open its new Purcellville location. Stevens has helped to develop Long & Foster’s luxury market in Middleburg, while also growing its market presence in Middleburg, Purcellville and other western Loudoun County communities.

“It takes a highly knowledgeable and experienced leader to support today’s real estate sales professionals, and Michele, through her dedication and commitment to our team in Middleburg and Purcellville, has proven she has the skills to help real estate agents become successful,” said Boomer Foster, senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster’s Northern Virginia and West Virginia region. “We are confident that adding her to our leadership team in Great Falls will result in the synergy on which our agents thrive. This is how our company has continued to help local buyers and sellers meet their homeownership goals for the past 45 years.”

Stevens said she is excited to return to Great Falls, where there’s already a strong team of real estate professionals. She plans to support these agents in achieving even greater real estate success for home buyers and sellers, while also developing new sales associates to become the next Long & Foster top producers. As part of these efforts, Stevens intends to focus heavily on training and business development.

Prior to joining the real estate business, Stevens worked in the technology industry. She has lived in Northern Virginia for almost two decades now and currently resides in Upperville. Stevens is an active member of the community and involved in many volunteer and real estate organizations. For more information, visit www.LongandFoster.com.
