Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, today announced that real estate veteran Michael T. Mavromates has been named manager of its Avalon, N.J., office, located at 2997 Dune Drive.
The Avalon office – Long & Foster’s first location on the New Jersey shore, serving the popular vacation destinations of Avalon and Stone Harbor – is the former home of The Avalon Real Estate Agency, which Long & Foster merged with in March 2013.
Mavromates comes to Long & Foster with more than 30 years of experience in leading dynamic sales teams in several fast-paced industries, including real estate. Incredibly knowledgeable about the Southern New Jersey real estate market, he most recently served as a successful sales associate with Keller Williams Realty and previously as a top producing sales associate and regional training director for Weichert Realtors.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity to join Long & Foster’s Avalon office and to help build Long & Foster’s presence at the New Jersey shore,” said Mavromates. “Long & Foster has a reputation for equipping its team with a host of industry-leading and cutting-edge educational, marketing and technology tools to achieve success in real estate. I am confident that my years of experience in the real estate industry and in managing winning teams will help to guide the new team of highly-trained sales associates in Avalon.”
A native of the Philadelphia, Pa., suburbs, Mavromates attended Delaware Valley College before we was drafted into the service in 1969. He served in the United States Army until 1971, and in the United States Army Reserve through 1976. He then pursued a career in sales, and entered the real estate industry in 2003. Mavromates has received numerous recognitions from the real estate community for his work as a top producing sales associate, including repeated honors from the New Jersey Association of Realtors with the Silver Circle of Excellence Sales Award.
“Mike is a welcome addition to the Long & Foster team, as we seek to grow the Long & Foster brand in new regions like the New Jersey shore,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. “Supporting today’s real estate professionals takes a highly knowledgeable, experienced leader – and Mike has more than proven himself over the years in various industries, as both a successful sales associate and an effective manager. We are confident that Mike will draw upon Long & Foster’s host of industry-leading training, tools and support to help his agents and customers achieve success in real estate.”
