John VanderSyde, manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Strawberry Street office, congratulates Mary K. McDonald on celebrating her 25th year anniversary as a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate, and a remarkable 56 total years as a licensed real estate professional.
“We offer our sincerest congratulations, as well as thanks, to Mary K., for her 25 years of dedicated work,” said Jackie Thiel, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Mary K. is one of many examples of Long & Foster’s highly trained professionals who go to great lengths to best serve clients seeking the total homeownership experience, and we wish her continued success in her real estate career.”
McDonald has been affiliated with Long & Foster for 25 years, currently working out of the Strawberry Street office in the historic Fan District of Richmond, VA., and is an active member of the Richmond Association of Realtors.
A graduate of Sweet Briar College, McDonald has a degree in mathematics and economics. She first had the desire to work in the stock market, a business track not readily accessible to women in the 1960’s. She remembers that it was a very different time of life but felt like many signs were pointing her towards the real estate industry.
She and her husband John both felt like it was obvious that she should pursue real estate sales. McDonald continues to enjoy a business that has taken her to different areas of Virginia, and one in which she can be so vital to her clients for such an extended period of time. “We are thrilled that Mary K. continues to share her expertise and experience with all of us at the Strawberry Street office,” said VanderSyde.
