Long & Foster Real Estate has announced that its York-Peninsula office, located in Yorktown, Virginia is currently collecting winter coats to be donated to children attending the York County Head Start Program.
The York-Peninsula office provides support to the York County Head Start program in various ways throughout the year, including this season’s effort of hosting a Coat Drive to collect and distribute winter coats. New and gently used coats in the sizes 3/3T, 4/4T and 5/5T are being collected through November. Coats can be dropped off on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Long & Foster York-Peninsula Office located at 5007 Victory Boulevard in Yorktown.
Many children attending the program, as well as their siblings, are in need of winter essentials and because of the generous donations, they will have a chance to be gifted a coat this winter. Last year, the office surpassed their goal and collected over 50 coats that were distributed by the York County Head Start Program to students and families.
