Long & Foster Real Estate’s Williamsburg Virginia office participated as the presenting sponsor of The Heritage Humane Society’s inaugural FURever Homes 8k, 5k, and Fun Run on October 24, 2020.

With over 260 participants, volunteers, and staff, the FURever Homes Race was a huge success. The Heritage Humane Society (HHS) serves an important role in the Williamsburg, James City County, and York County areas.

“Even though unprecedented adjustments to our personal lives have recently been made, the needs of homeless pets haven’t changed,” said Kimberly Laska, HHS executive director. “The animals are still relying on us to find them a better life. Through sincere dedication, our staff has continuously provided quality care for every animal at the shelter, without fail, throughout the pandemic. They have tirelessly put the needs of the animals before their own. Our doors have remained open during these past months for adoptions, surrenders, stray animal intakes and to help outreach clients in need.”

All of this is made possible through donations from the community.

“We know that our donation and participation will go towards helping local animals in need,” Ron Miscavige, managing broker of the Williamsburg office said. “This event was a great match between Long & Foster and the Heritage Humane society as we are both work passionately towards the same goal: finding the perfect home.”
