Long & Foster Real Estate’s Vienna/Oakton office will hold a free document shredding event on Oct. 19. The event will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon at the office, which is located at 309 Maple Avenue West in Vienna.
The event provides an opportunity for area residents to clear away dated paperwork. Documents will be shredded securely while you watch. Paperwork should not include any cardboard or metal larger than a paper clip or a staple, and all documents should be removed from binders or large folders.
Team members of Long & Foster’s Vienna/Oakton office will accept donations of small household items, as well as nonperishable food, for the community food bank, Food for Others, during the event.
“Long & Foster has long had a corporate culture of giving back,” said Fetneh Schacht, managing broker of Long & Foster’s Vienna/Oakton office. “This event will help our area residents with their fall cleaning by safely disposing of documents, while collecting food donations for Food for Others, which will benefit struggling families in our community.”
