Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA June 23, 2026 –Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Tri-Cities Southpark office in Colonial Heights, VA, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day.

Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at dozens of communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

The Tri-Cities Southpark office chose to volunteer with Colonial Heights Food Pantry on Friday, June 19, 2026. Our agents jumped in with both feet helping to distribute groceries to 103 households in Colonial Heights, VA. We had agents at various stations loading fruit, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, bread, and canned goods into families’ carts. Two of our agents took the carts outside to the family vehicles and loaded them into their cars. Additionally, we raised $675 in donations and donated 40 pounds of food items for the Colonial Heights Food Pantry.

“Community Service Day is a vital component of Long & Foster’s culture of giving back,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
