The Tri-Cities Southpark office of Long & Foster Real Estate, one of the nation’s top estate companies as part of HomeServices of America, will support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in its Toys for Tots campaign this year. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the Tri-Cities Southpark office, located at 601 Southpark Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All donations must be made before Dec. 6.
“We’re excited to once again take part in Toys for Tots—a fun and important cause—and provide our neighbors a convenient location to drop off donations,” said Nancy Steinke, manager of the Tri-Cities Southpark office. “It’s great to know that by collecting toys throughout the holiday season, we can help make sure children in our area who are less fortunate have a more cheerful holiday.”
Long & Foster offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast are participating in the Toys for Tots donation drive. This year marks the company’s 34th year participating in the holiday collection campaign. Between now and mid-December, Long & Foster’s offices throughout seven states and Washington, D.C., will accept toy or monetary donations. Long & Foster employees at the company’s home office in Fairfax, Virginia, will also participate in the annual holiday campaign by collecting toys and contributing funds for the Toys for Tots Foundation to purchase toys.
For anyone who wishes to make monetary donations, Long & Foster has created a donation page with Toys for Tots for contributions. You can access the site at LongandFoster.com/toysfortots. Funds will be used by Toys for Tots to purchase toys and distribute them to communities with the most need.
“Giving back to the many communities in which we live and work is important to our Long & Foster family, which is why we’ve been participating in the Toys for Tots drive for more than 30 years,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & FosterCompanies. “The U.S. Marines have built a tremendous program with Toys for Tots, and our employees, agents and their clients appreciate and enjoy the opportunity to support them.”
Once the toys are collected and presented to the U.S. Marines, they are distributed through churches and social welfare agencies to children in need throughout the community. Started by the U.S. Marines in 1947, the Toys for Tots annual toy drive that now reaches throughout 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Toys for Tots has distributed millions of toys to millions of children over the years, and Long & Foster contributes to this effort each year.
