The Travis Team, a sales team in Long & Foster Real Estate’s Blacksburg/New River Valley office, has been named as one of the company’s top 100 teams. The team, consisting of Donna and John Travis, earned a spot on the list—known as the Top 100 Elite Performers—based on their 2022 volume/transaction sides.
The Travises sold 85 properties for a total sales volume of over $19 million. Known for their extraordinary leadership, extensive real estate/ homebuilding knowledge and exemplary personal service, the Travis Team’s long-standing sales success and local reputation has placed them in the top tier of Realtors.

The Travis’ have made the New River Valley their home since September 1988. John is originally from upstate New York and Donna from southwestern North Carolina. Donna enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for 23 years. She volunteered in church, Girl Scouts, and her children’s school. Once her two children, Andy and Lauren were grown, she entered the Real Estate industry. John worked as the Plant Manager at Pulaski Furniture from 1988 until PFC closed in 2007. In 2000, he started J and D Builders of the NRV, Inc and built custom homes and subdivisions in the NRV. Donna earned her Real Estate license in 2008 and joined Long & Foster in 2010. John joined Donna a few years later becoming a realtor himself in 2014.
They attend Blue Ridge Church in Christiansburg and have participated on numerous domestic and foreign mission teams. Their hobbies include exploring, fishing, kayaking, biking, and boating. Their main joy/excitement though comes from being “Nene” and “Gramps” to their grandchildren: Jilly (7) and Connor (5). They are anxiously looking forward to a granddaughter to be born in May.
