Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Stony Point office in Richmond, Virginia, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 20th annual Community Service Day this June. Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.
The Stony Point office chose to volunteer with Ronald McDonald House on June 7th. They put together activity bags for the patients and siblings of families staying at the Ronald McDonald House during their child’s treatment at any of the local hospitals in the Richmond area. When all of the bags were finished, there were 63 complete activity bags with three to four different activities in each one.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work.”
