Long & Foster’s Sherry McCormack Accepted into State Leadership Program

Sherry McCormack, a Realtor with Long & Foster Real Estate’s West Chester, Pennsylvania office was one of 23 individuals accepted into a leadership program, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors (PAR).

The state association chooses a select group of Realtors for this year-long program, which focuses on a host of leadership development topics. Nationally recognized speakers will address issues like team-building skills, public speaking, working with volunteers, government affairs and how to improve and expand leadership styles. The program also enhances skills to better serve the community and the real estate industry.

McCormack is a long-standing member of the Tri-County Suburban Realtors, comprised of Realtor members in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, and serves as her office liaison to the association.  As a member of the PAR, she currently serves as vice chair of the Convention Committee for Triple Play Realtor Convention and Trade Expo held annually in Atlantic City for the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania associations of Realtors.

She has earned the following professional designations:  Pricing Strategy Advisor, ePro and Accredited Buyer Representative and has completed countless continuing education courses throughout her 20-year career as a Realtor.

Active in her community, McCormack sits on the board of directors for Arts Holding Hands and Hearts, a Chester County based non-profit organization that empowers youth, strengthens families and mobilizes communities through literacy, mindfulness and expressive arts for social and racial equity and justice.  She also supports Chester County Council BSA whose vision is to prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader. 

In addition, she volunteers at Home of the Sparrow which provides housing, education and support to single women and mothers who are experiencing homelessness or are in danger of losing their homes.  She participates with Latino Luncheon of West Chester which was organized to bring together Latinos, Hispanics, and those who are interested in the culture to share in social, cultural, and business networking reunions. They also fundraise annually to provide scholarships to selected Latino students attending West Chester University.
