Long & Foster Real Estate’s Director of Growth and Development, Sandra Stewart, will be a featured speaker on the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) Juneteenth Broker Panel. Entitled “Empowering Brokers: Building Success through Leadership and Ownership,” the event will be held June 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at NVAR’s Fairfax location.
Stewart’s voice carries weight, and she will bring invaluable insights into the panel discussion. A graduate of the NVAR Leadership Institute, she has served on numerous NVAR committees and brings expansive industry credentials that underscore her broad expertise in sales, diversity and client advocacy.
Stewart’s service extends well beyond her brokerage, too. She is a former director of the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors and has taught GCAAR classes for nearly a decade. She currently serves as vice president of a local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), has held a leadership role with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance’s DC Chapter, is a past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors – Greater Capital Area Network, and is an active supporter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).
A Washington, D.C., native, Stewart is known for bringing her energy and ringing a bell whenever a colleague achieves a milestone—a light-hearted ritual that reflects her belief that every success deserves recognition. That same enthusiasm fuels her volunteer work at national and local Realtor events, where she highlights the real estate industry’s positive impact on the community.
