Real estate company gives back to local communities for 17th annual event
Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., announced that thousands of its sales agents and staff, including those at the Reston North Hills office in Reston, Va., rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day held June 4, 2014. Long & Foster is the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States.
Long & Foster’s annual Community Service Day takes place at its nearly 180 offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Va. The annual event provides a day for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their community through a variety of service projects, including collecting food for those in need and cleaning up local parks, among many other projects.
The Reston North Hills office chose to volunteer with Cornerstones (formerly Reston Interfaith) on June 4. Long & Foster agents and employees from Reston North Hills and Reston Cornerstones teamed up on that day for the 17th annual Community Service Day. The office landscaped outdoor spaces at two Cornerstone homes in Herndon and the office donated funds for the children’s summer program.
Tim McMahon, vice president of housing and community development at Cornerstones, shared his appreciation for the office’s contributions. “Your group really dives in and gets it done,” Tim said. “Thanks so much, the yards look great—really beautiful! We appreciate you and your team and wanted to follow up and express that.”
A great time was had by all during the annual Community Service Day event, according to the team at Reston North Hills.
