Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for 22nd annual event
The Media, Pennsylvania office of Long & Foster Real Estate, hosted a blood drive on June 18. The Media office joined the brokerage’s 220 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering in the community.
“Our Media agents believe it is important to give back to the community”, said Doug Carlson, an agent in the Media office, who helped to plan the event. “We are so pleased with the turnout we had, which included 28 donors. We collected a total of 22 units, which according to the Red Cross, will help 66 people.”
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
