Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Lynchburg office in Forest, Virginia, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 19th annual Community Service Day on June 8, 2016. Long & Foster’s Community Service Day takes place at it’s over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.
The Lynchburg office chose to volunteer with Lynchburg Humane Society on June 10, helping the organization’s homeless animals find happiness. The agents and staff from the office collected supplies for the animals, such as food, toys, treats, towels, sheets, monetary donations and many more needed items. The office opened its donation drive to the community as well and received a great response. They were able to deliver the donations to the Lynchburg Humane Society and provide lots of love and attention to the animals at the shelter.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work. At a time when many charities and local organizations have a great need for assistance, we are honored to have the opportunity to help them.”
