The Hampton Roads region of Long & Foster Real Estate hosted their second annual regional Cornhole Tournament and first annual regional Chili Cookoff.
The Cornhole Tournament and Chili Cookoff took place at the Oceanfront/Coastal office in Virginia Beach. The events of the day began with all agents, brokers, and staff tasting the six chilis prepared by those competing. After everyone tasted each chili, they were directed to choose their favorite one by placing the corresponding number (one through six) in the ballot box for anonymous voting. Once all votes were submitted, the party moved to the parking lot for the Cornhole tournament, while staff tallied up the first, second, and third-place winners.
The Cornhole Tournament consisted of four teams from four offices. The Oceanfront/Coastal, Kitty Hawk/OBX, Chesapeake, and Kempsville offices all competed for the championship. When the tournament closed, it was a victory for Lisa Wilberger and Ryan Bielat of the Oceanfront/Coastal Office. A trophy was awarded, and the Oceanfront/Coastal office will proudly display it, while each team winner received their own Cornhole medal.
Once the Cornhole Tournament was complete, everyone went inside for the announcement of the Chili Cookoff winners. All the chilis entered were delicious, and many people came back for second servings. Patrick Jones of the Chesapeake office took first place with his chili, followed by Paula Terveer of Kempsville in second, and Lisa Wilberger of Oceanfront/Coastal in third place.
The event was a success, with lovely weather as an added bonus. Team members look forward to next year’s event. Everyone always enjoys coming together and has a great time.
