Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, is pleased to announce that Deborah Frank, an agent with its Longport, N.J., office, earned top honors at the Garden State Film Festival’s 13th annual awards gala in Atlantic City, N.J., on Sunday, March 22. Frank received the Impact Award from the festival’s Board of Directors, which recognized her commitment to promoting business and arts alliance in New Jersey.

“I’m thrilled to be recognized by the Garden State Film Festival for my contributions to the film industry and New Jersey area,” said Frank. “Independent films are truly one of my passions, and it’s my pleasure to share that love with my community and promote the arts to businesses and residents along the shore.”

In addition to a successful real estate business, Frank has a thriving career in the film industry. Her grandfather, Samuel Frank, founded the Frank Family Entertainment Group in the early 1900s, and she currently serves as the company’s executive vice president of film. In this role, she heavily promotes independent productions, ensuring Frank Theatres’ dozens of locations showcase art and indie films to their communities. It’s thanks to her efforts that residents in Atlantic County have been able to enjoy independent filmmakers and their productions without having to travel to major metropolitan areas for many years.

Frank also maintains a strong commitment to charity, giving back to the community through fundraisers at her theaters and other events. For example, she’s partnered with a local charter school to allow their students to present their films at Frank Theatres. Additionally, Frank is involved in the film community, working on other film festivals and serving on their awards juries.

The Garden State Film Festival awards recognized the best in all film categories, as well as a number of standalone honors like Frank’s Impact Award. The festival was founded to promote the art of filmmaking on all levels by showcasing a wide variety of film, video and animated works, as well as provide educational programs in the creative arts to the public by industry leaders.
