Greear named Outstanding Sales Agent for Southwest Virginia region in 2022

Having begun his career in the real estate industry in 2004, Greear specializes in representing buyers and sellers in the residential and commercial sectors. He frequently works with first-time homebuyers, investors, and those interested in new construction, farmland, or acreage – serving clients in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Riner, Carroll, Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski and Radford,
Recognized for his hard work, expertise and ethical practices, Greear has earned distinction as the top salesperson in Southwest Virginia. Generating much of his business from referrals, he enjoys helping clients achieve their dream of homeownership and building lasting relationships with members of the community. Over the past two decades, he has notably served three generations of clients and sold more than 1,500 homes. Additionally, Greear has enjoyed the opportunity to mentor new agents in the field, one of whom garnered recognition as a top-five realtor in the Southwest Virginia region.
Prior to transitioning into real estate, Greear worked alongside his father on the family dairy farm in Riner, Virginia. He also found success in the new home construction industry, where he gained extensive insight into the real estate industry and how homes are constructed.
Well known for his leadership and service throughout his community, Greear presently serves on the board of directors of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. Passionate about conquering food shortages, he and his wife donate approximately 60,000 pounds of fresh produce from their farm every year, which is distributed to more than 40 area food banks and charities, including the Society of Saint Andrews. Since becoming involved over a decade ago, Greear has contributed nearly one million pounds of fresh produce to various charitable organizations. In addition to his participation with these two organizations, he helped create Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad and was the Charter Chairman of the Board.
Greear graduated from Auburn High School in Riner, Virginia, in 1989. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and economics at Radford University in 1994. Highly qualified in his field, Greear also earned certification as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI), and E-PRO, the internet professional certification earned through the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
To remain aware of developments in real estate, Greear is a member of the National Association of Realtors, where he frequently participates in local, state and national events, workshops and conferences. Furthermore, he is a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors.
Among his countless recognitions, Greear was named the Overall Top Producing Agent for the Southwest Virginia Region by Long & Foster Real Estate in 2022. He also became a member of the organization’s Gold Team and Platinum Club in 2020, 2021, and 2022, largely in recognition of excellence in sales, and was ranked No. 4 in Virginia and No. 172 nationally for the number of transactions closed by Real Trends and The Wall Street Journal for 2022. Greear has also received numerous accolades from the New River Valley’s Association of Realtors, including earning the Realtor of the Year Award in 2013, the Ethics in Action Award in 2009, and The Good Neighbor Award in 2009.
