Gain insider insight on what it’s like to work in the real estate industry
Long & Foster | Christie’s International Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 privately owned residential real estate company, will host a free career seminar on April 26 from 6 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Chevy Chase/Uptown office, located at 4400 Jenifer Street, NW, Washington, D.C., and it is open to anyone interested in pursuing a career in real estate.
“If you’re a dynamic individual who has a desire to help people and who loves to be at the forefront of your industry, a career in real estate may be the perfect option for you,” said Christopher Ducey, managing broker of the office. “Long & Foster’s Chevy Chase/Uptown is continually looking for talented, driven people to join our team and help their clients on their journeys home.”
Real estate is a popular career path for individuals looking for a flexible career with unlimited growth potential. As a Realtor, you create your own business and invest as much time and effort into it as you choose. In recent years, the real estate industry has seen retirees—from former teachers and military professionals to business executives—entering the business after a successful first career.
At the career seminar, attendees will learn from industry pros what it is like to run a real estate business and get their concerns about entering the industry addressed. They also will hear about the licensing requirements in their area, as well as the required practice and principles courses they will need to complete. Participants also will get an idea of a Realtor’s earning potential and the costs of being a licensed real estate agent. Attendees will also have plenty of time to ask questions about other critical career-related topics.
“Attending a career seminar like this is the first step to achieving success in real estate, and for an agent-focused organization like Long & Foster, seeing Realtors succeed is our No. 1 objective,” said Ducey. “We’re dedicated to providing our Realtors with the tools and training they need at each level of their careers, whether they’re just starting out or have been in the business for many years, and that’s why we continually invest in our agents, their training and their businesses.”
