Renovation for Resale Expo held at Long & Foster's Arlington office

Long & Foster Real Estate’s Arlington, Virginia, office recently hosted a Renovation for Resale Expo for clients and the community. At the event, several of the office’s top-producing real estate agents joined with home remodeling experts to share their research and personal insight on how to improve the look, livability and overall value of a home as it relates to resale.

The expo was held on Jan. 13 in Long & Foster’s newly renovated Arlington office. An updated, open floor plan paired with new and innovative technology made it the perfect venue for this well-attended and successful community event. Sponsors of the conference included Long & Foster agents Mary Moran, Susan Joy, Maribeth Clissa, Bob Mathew, Archie Harders, Marty Switzer Merriam, Ivana Pelikan, and Christine Rich.

Using the National Association of Realtors’ Remodeling Impact Report as a guide, the conference centered around remodeling projects that are most likely to add the most value to a home at resale. Attendees enjoyed panel discussions by vendors specializing in various home improvements, including kitchen and bath renovations, flooring, roofing, siding and more. In addition, the Construction Plan Review Supervisor for Arlington County’s Inspection Services Office was on-site to share insight and resources.

“This inaugural event provided an opportunity for these Long & Foster agents to give back to the community by providing them with valuable information from leading home experts,” said Kara Chaffin Donofrio, managing broker of the Arlington office. “The expo was very well attended, and we look forward to planning more community events of this type in the future.”
