The Long & Foster Real Estate Alexandria/Kingstowne office chose to volunteer with Comfort Cases for the company’s 20th annual Community Service Day on June 7. Since March agents and employees at the office have been collecting materials to fill backpacks for foster children. Their goal was to collect enough materials to be able to pack 25 cases. The office exceeded its goal by an extraordinary amount, creating 97 cases plus having many leftover materials that will be donated to other worthy charities.
Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at it’s over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work.”
