Exclusive Path to Growth Graduates

Exclusive Path to Growth program focuses on building a strong business

Long & Foster Real Estate is recognizing Christine Beran, Janet Njoku, Sam Xiao, and Selvin Melendez Saravia for completing its Exclusive Path to Growth (EPTG) coaching and accountability program. The eight-week initiative, offered to agents in our Northern Virginia, DC, and West Virginia offices, helps them build the habits, confidence and practical systems needed for a sustainable real estate business.

“Real growth takes more than a good plan. It takes showing up each week, doing the work and being willing to adjust what isn’t working,” said Ali Nawaz, growth and development regional manager at Long & Foster. “Janet, Selvin, Sam and Christine brought that commitment to EPTG.”

The program covers business planning, lead conversion and ways to connect with buyers and sellers. Participants apply what they learn to their own goals and local markets.

“Completing an eight-week program while serving clients and managing a busy real estate business takes dedication,” said Athena Petersen, senior vice president and regional manager for Long & Foster Real Estate. “We’re pleased to recognize Janet, Selvin, Sam, and Christine for making that investment in themselves and their businesses.”

Janet Njoku — Woodbridge. Njoku is a people person at heart who made a later-in-life career change, turning her background in human resources and her love of people, homes and new beginnings into a career in real estate. She brings professionalism, creativity and genuine care to every client relationship, using her leadership, relationship-building, active listening and negotiation skills to help clients make informed moves that fit the life they truly want to live. When she’s not showing homes, Njoku enjoys cheering from the soccer sidelines, planning her next trip and figuring out where to eat next—because where you live should feel as good as it tastes.

Selvin Melendez Saravia — Fredericksburg. Saravia is a proud husband and father of three sons, with his oldest serving in the Marines. He brings more than a decade of experience helping clients while also running a business in graphic and website design, printing, and signage. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Saravia is passionate about helping people and takes great pride in seeing rentals and home purchases come together successfully and as planned. He strives to be his clients’ trusted advisor, practiced negotiator, skilled house-hunter, and neighborhood expert, working diligently to make every real estate experience honest, smooth, and tailored to their needs—from start to finish.

Sam Xiao — Woodbridge. Xiao brings more than 15 years of experience in development and investment finance, financial asset valuation, research, and analysis to her real estate career. A Northern Virginia resident since 2002, she draws on her financial expertise, local market knowledge and negotiation skills to help clients evaluate opportunities, understand value and make informed real estate decisions—whether buying, selling, renting or investing. Xiao holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business, an MBA in finance, and a Master of Science degree in computer science, and speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese, enabling her to connect with and serve a diverse and international clientele.

Christine Beran — Fredericksburg. Beran joined Long & Foster in July 2013, bringing more than 13 years of real estate experience and more than 30 years of professional and community knowledge in the Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg area. A member of the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and Virginia Association of Realtors, Beran is also a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), with specialized knowledge to help clients age 50 and over navigate housing options, downsizing, assisted living, estate planning and other real estate needs.

“We want our agents to have the tools and guidance to build businesses that last,” said Patrick Bain, CEO and president of The Long & Foster Companies. “Programs like Exclusive Path to Growth are one way we help them continue learning and growing. Congratulations to Janet, Selvin, Sammy and Christine. I’m excited to see where they take their businesses next.”
