Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, is pleased to announce that it opened a new office in Cape Charles, Va., located at 109 Mason Ave., on October 1. A grand opening will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Betty Lou Charnock and Betty Ann Latimer will both lead the new office, and it will be managed by Jeremy Caleb Johnson and Ann Randolph, office managers at the Long & Foster Great Neck office. Randolph is a recognized ethics instructor by the Eastern Shore Association of Realtors. Additional sales agents at the new office will include Carla Jasper, Theresa Olivetto, Lynn Gray Watson and Melanie Brown.

“Long & Foster is committed to growing our presence in the Virginia Eastern Shore area, and the opening of the Cape Charles office allows us to increase our footprint and better serve home buyers and sellers throughout the area,” said Scott Shaheen, senior regional vice president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Additionally, having leaders like Betty Lou and Betty Ann, who are active in the community, provides us with a unique understanding of the local market and the needs of its residents.”

The Cape Charles office is a direct result of Long & Foster’s Elite Entrepreneur Platform, which allows agents to build their own business while aligning with the No. 1 independent residential real estate company in the United States.

“I’m thrilled to be launching this new Long & Foster office and working with Betty Ann to lead a team of agents who will receive the best in training, technology and tools available to them,” Charnock said.

“Not only does Long & Foster have excellent brand recognition, but it’s a company that puts its agents and clients first,” Latimer said. “We’re excited and ready to put our skills to work in the local community.”

“Opening this new office aligns with Long & Foster’s plan to expand our ability to provide unparalleled customer service to our buyers and sellers and our continued growth is one of the reasons we are the No. 1 firm throughout the mid-Atlantic,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate.

“For more than 45 years, Long & Foster has been home to the best-trained, best-equipped real estate agents and leaders in the industry, and we have no doubt that the new Cape Charles office will be the go-to resource when consumers in this area of Virginia are looking to make confident, well-informed buying and selling decisions,” Scott said.
