Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event

Real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Richmond and Charlottesville regional offices rolled up their sleeves to raise money and awareness for cancer research last month. The Long & Foster team took part in the Massey Challenge fundraiser, running in Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K on April 12 and raising almost $4,000 for the charitable event.

Adding to the fun of the fundraiser was a competition among all brokerages in the Richmond Association of Realtors (RAR), which challenged its members to raise the most money and awareness for the event. Long & Foster received RAR’s Outstanding Community Engagement award for the brokerage’s participation in the 10K.

“Giving back to our communities is what we do at Long & Foster, and joining the Massey Challenge allowed us to support a cause that’s close to our hearts—fighting cancer and saving lives—while having a great time together,” said Dawn Bradley, regional manager and senior vice president of Long & Foster in Richmond.
