Long & Foster Real Estate announced today that Judi Garrett and Bobby Kauffman of the Long & Foster Commercial Division in Tysons, Virginia recently represented the sale of a church located in the historic U Street corridor, at 1819 15th St. N.W., Washington, D.C.
The property was an established church in the District but was lacking ample parking. They decided to sell their current building and find a new church in the suburbs to provide more space for convenient parking for congregants who live throughout the metro area.
“Within a month after listing the property with us, the church accepted an offer above asking price with no contingencies and a 30-day close,” said Kauffman. “Their only cost associated with this transaction was the commission and typical closing costs.”
Kauffman added, “we are confident that this is a good fit for both parties. The buyer plans to redevelop the property into residential condominiums and the seller plans to relocate to a larger building in Maryland. Judi and I look forward to representing other churches in the sale or purchase of their properties.”
