Larry Lewis, a Realtor Associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Tri-Cities/Southpark Sales office, has earned the Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) designation. Awarded by the National Association of Realtors, the GRI designation recognizes that Lewis successfully completed a course of study that provided a solid base of information designed to further his expertise within the real estate industry.
“I have always tried to deliver a high level of professionalism and to go above and beyond to make my clients’ real estate sale or purchase a pleasant one. The training I received in completing my GRI designation provides me with the skills necessary to take the experience to a higher level,” Lewis said.
Lewis received the nationally recognized designation by completing 60 classroom hours of real estate instruction with emphasis on topics such as legal liabilities, professional standards, brokerage relationships, contracts and specialized areas such as appraisal, negotiations and house construction. The designation is awarded exclusively to Realtors.
Currently, Lewis holds the position of President-Elect for Southside Virginia Association of Realtors (SVAR), past SVAR Treasurer for 2017 and 2018, member of SVAR Board of Directors for last five years, 2017 SVAR Associate of the Year, member of SVAR Honor Society and 2017 SVAR Top Residential Team Award. He also holds the designations of Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist and Accredited Buyers Representative.
