Tina Holt, manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Captain’s Cove office, congratulates John McGoldrick on celebrating his eighth anniversary as a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate.

“We offer our sincerest congratulations, as well as thanks, to John, for his years of dedicated work,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “John is one of many examples of Long & Foster’s highly-trained professionals who go to great lengths to best serve clients seeking the total homeownership experience, and we wish him continued success in his real estate career.”

McGoldrick has been affiliated with the Captain’s Cove office for eight years and is an active member of Coastal Realtors and is president of the Eastern Shore Association of Realtors.

McGoldrick and his wife Nikki, share four children and have another on the way. The two also work together as the McGoldrick Team of Long & Foster. They have been the No. 1 real estate team in Hampton Roads for 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

“I’ve never been one to turn down an opportunity. In 2010, not long after moving to Chincoteague Island, Patty Woodhurst asked if it is something I would be interested in doing,”  said John McGoldrick. “Well, of course… I love people and homes, as my past life was building them since the age of 16.”

McGoldrick enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, or just heading up to the mountains. He also sponsors and volunteers at the Manna Café a few times a year, which is a charity that serves free hot lunches on Mondays and distributes food in partnership with the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia.

When asked why he chose Long & Foster, John McGoldrick said, “Long & Foster exemplifies what this business should be. Starting with the training and agent care and appreciation provided to us for a successful career path.”
