Jeremy Caleb Johnson with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Oceanfront/Coastal office, has been elected by the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association (HRRA) to serve as chairman of its Board of Directors.
HRRA is a 5,000-member Realtor organization representing South Hampton Roads. Per HRRA’s Mission Statement, HRRA is “dedicated towards furthering the American Dream of home ownership through protecting private property rights, advancing affordable housing, promoting a vibrant and healthy market, improving the quality of life in the neighborhoods its members serve, and enhancing professional industry standards.”
Johnson has been an active member of the Hampton Roads Realtor’s Association for 18 years. During this time, he has served as the chair of HHRA’s Resale Council, HRRA’s REALTOR®/Lawyer Council, as an At-Large member of the Board of Directors, and as the Treasurer/VP of Budget & Finance.
In recent years, HRRA, along with the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, has secured the right to work for REALTORS® during the pandemic, perennially advocated for the (very important) renewal of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and worked to ensure the rights of first-time homebuyers in the real estate marketplace. In addition to this, he currently serves on the National Association of Realtor’s Federal Taxation Committee.
Jonnson is a Virginia Beach native and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jan and his two dogs, Micah and Luca.
