A University of Arizona graduate, Kirby moved to Blacksburg, Virginia, to study geography at Virginia Tech. She has lived in Crozet for 14 years, and prior to that she spent time in Phoenix, Tucson, Blacksburg, Richmond and Charlottesville. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and looking for opportunities to work on her Spanish language skills.
