Barker was born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and attended Mary Baldwin College. Upon graduation, she left for what would end up being a successful career in the publishing world of New York. After earning a second degree in interior design, she brought her creativity back to the Eastern Shore. She has turned her eye for design into a successful career in real estate, helping people to find their perfect properties.
