Glenda Morris, a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Roanoke office, has been appointed by the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors (RVAR) to serve on its 2024 Board of Directors. The RVAR Board of Directors is responsible for conducting the affairs of the Multiple Listing Service.
“I feel that it is important for REALTORS® to give back to our communities and our local association,” said Morris. “The Real Estate market is changing all the time and we need advocates in our profession to help educate others on the changes so we can better serve our clients. Volunteering on the Community Service Committee and being a Director on the Board will further help me be a champion for our profession while giving back at the same time. I feel honored to have been elected by my peers and appreciate them placing their trust in me. I hope to make a positive impact in our community while helping to strengthen our local association as well.”
A Realtor since 2013, Morris has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s Roanoke office since she obtained her license. Morris was presented with the RVAR 2021 Good Neighbor Award, which recognizes a local REALTOR® who gives time to an organization that improves the quality of life in the Greater Roanoke Valley.
Morris has been an active member of the RVAR for 10 years. She has served as a volunteer with the RVAR Community Service Committee since 2020 and has volunteered as the Chair of the Tech Committee and member of the Affiliates Committee. Morris strives to make a difference within the Roanoke Valley and surrounding communities as a member of the Board of Directors for the Roanoke Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Additionally, Morris gives a donation to a local nonprofit organization for every closing.
