Fonville Morisey Realty, a Long & Foster company, is pleased to announce that all the proceeds from its 13th annual Fonville Morisey Invitational went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Rhettic Galaska, 9-year-old cousin of Mary Kay Pendergraph, general manager of Fonville Morisey. Rhettic was just diagnosed in February and is currently in treatment.
Over 90 sponsors and players came out to 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, N.C., on Sept. 22 for a great day of golf. Sponsors of the event included FM Lending Services, Guaranty Title, Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton LLP, Essent Guaranty, Chicago Title Insurance Company, Beacon Appraisal, Ragsdale Liggett, HSA Home Warranty and Our State Magazine. Dinner from Creative Caterers was sponsored by Fonville Morisey Barefoot, Saussy Burbank and Robuck Homes.
A check for $8,000 was presented to Meredith Johnson, operations manager of the North Carolina chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, by Pendergraph. A raffle and a putting contest raised an additional $2,000 for the charity organization.
“From our first charity golf tournament many years ago to today, our mission has been to give back to the community and bring together sponsors and FM sales associates to raise money for very worthwhile causes,” said Pendergraph. “It is with great appreciation that we thank all who participated in helping make a difference in the lives of those dealing with cancer.”
