Fifth Annual Pink Ribbon Hoppy Hour Aims to Raise $40K for Loudoun Breast Cancer Patients

October 31, 2025
Long & Foster's One Loudoun office has raised over $100,000 for the Loudoun Breast Health Network.

For Long & Foster Real Estate agent Kathy Jones, breast cancer is more than a statistic. It’s personal. In 2018, her daughter was diagnosed, and despite having health insurance, the family quickly faced overwhelming medical bills and unexpected expenses.

A lifeline arrived in the form of the Loudoun Breast Health Network (LBHN), an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to helping Loudoun County residents undergoing breast cancer treatment. From prescription costs to groceries and even mortgage support, LBHN provides both financial relief and emotional encouragement to those in need.

“Going through breast cancer is challenging in so many ways, and LBHN makes a real difference for families facing this journey,” said Jones.

Inspired by the organization’s impact, Jones has led the One Loudoun office of Long & Foster Real Estate in fundraising efforts for LBHN over the past several years. This year, the office will host its fifth annual Pink Ribbon Hoppy Hour fundraiser on Nov. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lost Rhino Brewing in Ashburn, bringing the community together to support neighbors who need it most.

In the four years they’ve hosted the event, the team has raised over $100,000 for LBHN—$36,000 in 2024, $25,000 in 2023, $26,000 in 2022 and $20,000 in 2019. Due to the pandemic, fundraisers were not held in 2020 or 2021. This year, Jones hopes to raise another $40,000 to help LBHN support even more Loudoun County residents in need.

“Long & Foster’s a people-first organization that’s committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work, and that’s why we’re such strong advocates and supporters of Loudoun Breast Health Network—it’s an organization that’s helped our own Long & Foster family and our friends and neighbors in Loudoun County,” said Cathy Zamanpour, managing broker of Long & Foster’s One Loudoun office.
