Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Cynthia Dempster to its Cape Charles, Virginia office. Dempster is an experienced Realtor with 30 years of experience.

“We are very excited and fortunate to have Cyn join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Tina Holt, broker and Patty Woodhurst, associate broker of the Cape Charles office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Cyn’s unique skills, knowledge and experience will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”

“I chose Long & Foster because I was impressed with the company and I’m very excited to continue my career in Real Estate here,” Dempster said.

“We’re so pleased to announce Cyn has joined the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As the No. 1 brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic region, we operate with an agent-first mentality. We look forward to the energetic partnership Cyn has created by deciding to join the industry-leading Cape Charles office and our company.”

Dempster’s real estate career began in upstate New York.  She also lived on the Massachusetts coast prior to migrating to Virginia’s Eastern Shore seven years ago. In over 30 years of practice, Dempster was previously the Top Producer with several competing brokers. In Massachusetts, she gained extensive experience with historic and waterfront properties, although her eventual landing on Virginia’s Eastern Shore was pure chance.

A few years ago, Dempster’s son caught the fever of the boating life, heading out for the Caribbean, but his boat only got as far as Cape Charles. There, he began working, eventually opening The Shanty restaurant on the harbor as well as Deadrise Pies pizzeria, two very popular Cape Charles eateries.

When Dempster moved to Cape Charles to join him, her daughter followed, and the family has grown with spouses and grandchildren. Her family also owns the Seagrass Floral Shop on Mason Ave.  They have made the shore their community, lifestyle and commitment.

Dempster has built a rapport with customers from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the creeks of Onancock. “If you are an enthusiast of nature, water, community and good weather, you will appreciate the shore life,” said Dempster. “Whether it is an established community or total privacy you are looking for, I can help with waterfront and village properties, as well as luxury estates. I love helping prospective residents and investors explore the shore and its amazing natural beauty.”
