Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Cheryl Hong to its Shore Drive Coastal office in Virginia Beach. Hong will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.
“We are very excited and fortunate to have Cheryl join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Tina Holt, manager of the Shore Drive Coastal office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Cheryl’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”
Hong is participating in Long & Foster’s Success Path program, which offers extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating and more. Hong holds membership in the Hampton Roads Realtors Association (HRRA). She is looking forward to plugging into the community more and becoming involved with the HRRA.
Born on the coastaline of Southwest Florida, Hong spent her entire youth there. College took her to northern Florida, where she received an associates degree at Santa Fe College, went through nursing school, and worked at the University of Florida, prior to moving to Virginia Beach.
After meeting her husband Tom Hong in Florida, they moved to Virginia Beach. Tom Hong is a hand surgeon at Sentara Leigh Hospital. The Hong’s have four boys – Jonas (13), Jake (8), Kellen (4), and Bodhi (2).
The Hong family has been living in and around the Virginia Beach area for over five years. Coastal living has always been a huge part of her Cheryl Hong’s life. From growing up on the shores of Southwest Florida, to living on the East Coast of Virginia, she has always been blessed to be on the water. There is nothing like the experience of waterfront living.
Cheryl Hong grew up in and around real estate. Her mother was an agent, then became a broker in Florida. She spent quite a bit of time in the office listening and learing to everything she could about real estate. The Hong’s also invest in rental properties – buying, remodeling and renting, so she’s had hands-on experience and learned a lot about what to look for in homes.
“Being a part of such a strong community of Realtors and having the resources at hand to be better than the average agent and a company with the ability to get you where you want to be, are just a few things I value highly with Long & Foster,” said Cheryl Hong.
“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our Success Path program has provided Cheryl with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Cheryl to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for over 50 years.”
