Bitsy Davis, a manager with Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest privately-owned residential real estate company in the United States, has been named vice president and managing broker of the company’s Roanoke and Botetourt office locations.
“This appointment is a special and unexpected honor,” Davis said.
A Realtor since 1981, Davis has been affiliated with Long & Foster Real Estate since 2007. She also holds the professional designations of Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Realtor Institute, and Resort & Secondary Property Specialist.
Davis has been an active member of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors for more than 30 years, and has served on a number of its committees including Standard Forms, Governmental Affairs, Strategic Planning, Nominating, Public Relations, and Programs and Special Events. Davis was named local association president in 2006 and was recognized as local association Realtor of the Year in 2011.
At the state level, Davis has served as Chair of the Virginia Association of Realtors’ Professional Development committee and most recently was the chair of the risk management committee. Davis also serves on the Information Management Committee. At the national level, Davis serves on the National Association of Realtors’ Resort and Second Home Properties Committee.
