Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, welcomes Alicia Soekawa to its Innsbrook office, in Glen Allen, Va. Soekawa will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.

“We are very excited and fortunate to have Alicia join our team of highly trained professionals,” said David Gragnani, manager of the Innsbrook office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Alicia’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”

Soekawa successfully completed Long & Foster’s Star Builders program, an extensive training course for newly licensed sales associates, as well as associates returning to the field of real estate. The program’s curriculum covers contracts, agency, prospecting, business planning, finance and working with buyers and sellers. Soekawa holds membership in the Richmond Association of Realtors.

“Transitioning from 15 years in biopharmaceutical sales to real estate, I wanted to find the best match that would support my vision in real estate. After weighing the decision heavily, I chose to affiliate with Long & Foster’s Innsbrook office because David Gragnani’s leadership and the Innsbrook office best aligned with what I needed to launch this new career,” Soekawa said.

“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Completing our Star Builders program has provided Alicia with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Alicia to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for more than 45 years.”

Soekawa holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Meredith College, in Raleigh, N.C. She resides in Glen Allen, Va., along with her spouse, Michael, and two children, Sebastian and Clover, as well as their golden retriever, Sparky.
