Originally from Burlington County, N.J., Perkins and her husband purchased a summer home in Ocean City in 2003 and after making the area their summer home for 10 years they moved to the area permanently. Perkins said real estate has been a long-time interest of hers, as she purchased, managed and maintained investment properties, including working in marketing and management positions and as the property manager of a 120-home community.
