Food collection supports Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors’ drive for the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank
Long & Foster Real Estate agent Kristi Murphy is on a mission to help area residents facing food insecurity. As chair of the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors’ (FAAR) Community Service Committee, giving back is part of Murphy’s business, and that’s why she’s spearheading FAAR’s 2026 Realtor Cereal Box Drive with her colleagues at Long & Foster’s Fredericksburg office.
The annual community initiative challenges local real estate professionals, businesses, clients and community members to collect 20,000 boxes of cereal for the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank. The drive runs through October, and participants can support the effort by donating cereal boxes at Long & Foster’s Fredericksburg office and encouraging their friends, family and local business partners to do the same.
“Supporting the communities where we live and work is an important part of who we are at Long & Foster. This cereal drive gives our agents, clients and community partners a simple but meaningful way to come together and help our neighbors,” said David Gillis, managing broker of Long & Foster in Fredericksburg. “We’re proud to partner with FAAR and the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank on an effort that can make a real difference right here in our community.”
Cereal donations can be dropped off at the Long & Foster Fredericksburg office at 1910 William Street, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every box brings the community closer to the goal of 20,000 boxes.
