The Martinsburg office of Long & Foster Real Estate, will participate in the company’s Community Service Day on June 25th. The office, located in Martinsburg, WV will join the brokerage’s over 150 offices in giving back by donating food items to the Berkeley County CCAP/LOAVESANDFISHES Food Pantry and to Jefferson County Community Ministries. Our 2nd project is to donate small-medium new and gently used stuff animals to the Berkeley County Judicial Center.
“At the heart of our real estate office is a deep passion for serving not only our clients, but also our community. We are proud to support CCAP/Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Berkeley County and Jefferson County Community Ministries through food donations aimed at fighting hunger and providing relief to families in need across our region. Ensuring that every household has access to basic necessities is a mission we wholeheartedly believe in.
In addition to our ongoing food drive, we are also launching a second community project close to our hearts: collecting new and gently used small- to medium-sized stuffed animals for children attending family court at the Berkeley County Judicial Center. These stuffed animals are given to children as a source of comfort during what can often be an overwhelming and emotional experience. It’s a small gesture with a big impact—offering warmth, security, and a reminder that they are not alone.
Through both initiatives, we hope to bring care, comfort, and compassion to the communities we serve. We invite our neighbors and clients to join us in making a difference—because together, we can build more than homes; we can build hope,” said Sue Goodwin Manager of the Martinsburg Office.
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”
