Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event
Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Oceanfront/Coastal office in Virginia Beach, VA, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day on June 8.
Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at its over 200 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.
The Oceanfront/Coastal office chose to volunteer with The Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Before getting started, volunteers were given a short tour and an update on some exciting changes the Food Bank has made since last year. After this, the group settled into the task of sorting through donated items to check for expiration dates, then stocked those items on the shelves of the Food Bank’s marketplace. Working with the Food Bank is always an amazing and enjoyable experience. The team at the Oceanfront/Coastal office looks forward to volunteering with them again in the years ahead.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
