Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event
Real estate agents with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Kitty Hawk/Outer Banks office in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, attended the Moyock Woman’s Club’s annual White Out for Hunger Gala.
The Moyock Woman’s Club started the annual White Out for Hunger Gala in 2017, but due to COVID the 2019 and 2020 events were both canceled. Thanks to a generous donation from Long & Foster, Prosperity Mortgage, and the Shaheen Law Firm, the club was able to secure a larger venue for the 2021 White Out for Hunger Gala and in turn sold more than twice as many tickets as in previous years. In fact, all 200 tickets were sold out two weeks prior to the event.
The Moyock Woman’s Club was able to provide a $13,500 grant to the Food Bank of the Albemarle, which will be used to launch the new mobile food pantry truck starting this month. They were also able to provide $3,500 to the Currituck County Food Pantries. That is a grand total of $17,000 in donations that will go toward fighting hunger in Currituck County.
